Terms and Conditions for Hey George

  1. Introduction These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of services by Hey George to the client. By engaging Hey George, the client agrees to these terms.
  2. Services Hey George offers in-house services including website design, development, marketing, social media, e-commerce, and website maintenance support.
  3. Quotations and Acceptance All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. The client’s acceptance of a quotation or the commencement of work will constitute agreement to these terms.
  4. Payment Terms
    • Invoices will be issued upon completion of milestones or as otherwise agreed.
    • Payment is due within 14 days of the invoice date.
    • Late payments may incur interest at a rate of 5% per month.
  5. Weekend Work Any work performed during weekends will be charged at a rate of 1,000 Rand per hour.
  6. Client Responsibilities The client agrees to provide all necessary information, materials, and approvals required for the completion of services in a timely manner. Delays may result in project delays.
  7. Revisions and Scope Changes
    • The client is entitled to [number] revisions within the original scope of work.
    • Any additional revisions or changes to the scope of work may incur additional charges.
  8. Confidentiality Hey George agrees to keep all client information and materials confidential and will not disclose them to any third party without the client’s consent.
  9. Intellectual Property
    • Upon full payment, the client will own the final work product.
    • Hey George retains the right to use work samples for portfolio purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  10. Limitation of Liability Hey George will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the services provided.
  11. Force Majeure Hey George will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing services due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, or governmental actions.
  • Termination
  • Either party may terminate the agreement with 30 days’ written notice if the other party breaches any material term of the agreement and fails to remedy such breach within 14 days of receiving notice.
  • Upon termination, the client will pay for all work completed up to the date of termination.
  • Dispute Resolution In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to first attempt resolution through informal negotiation. If unresolved, the dispute may be referred to mediation or arbitration in South Africa.
  • Severability If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions will continue to be valid and enforceable.
  • Amendments Hey George reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of changes in writing.
  • Governing Law These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa.
  • Entire Agreement These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between Hey George and the client and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, or representations.
  1. Consultations Some consultations may be conducted in person or virtually using platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Google Meet.
  2. Online Advertising Campaigns Hey George may manage online advertising campaigns via platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook Meta Ads, Instagram Ads, or LinkedIn Ads. The client agrees to comply with the terms of service of these platforms.
  3. Deposit Requirement A 50% deposit is required to initiate any website project. The remaining balance is due upon completion of the project, prior to the website going live.
  4. Maintenance Packages Our maintenance packages are subscription-based, requiring clients to register for a subscription with monthly deductions. This ensures regular updates, backups, and support for your website.
