Terms & conditions

The terms for using Hey George’s website and buying digital plugins or website services.

Hey George Pty Ltd · Last updated 15 October 2026

Business and scope

This website and shop are operated by Hey George Pty Ltd, Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, 4091. Contact info@heygeorge.co.za or +27 61 104 2746. These terms cover website use, plugin licences and website services. The detailed purchase terms, product description and payment authorisation shown at checkout form part of your purchase agreement.

Prices and payment

Prices are in South African rand (ZAR). Hey George is not currently VAT registered and does not charge VAT. Review the product, billing period, amount due now and renewal amount before paying. Introductory and renewal prices can differ. Any loyalty discount is the discount expressly shown in your purchase terms; an existing agreement is not automatically repriced by later website offers. Payment provider fees, hosting and third-party services are separate where disclosed.

Recurring and once-off purchases

Plugin plans renew at their authorised six-monthly or annual interval. Website maintenance is monthly. Website builds, eCommerce builds, content writing and WordPress repair are once-off purchases unless a separate agreement expressly says otherwise. Recurring payments require authorisation. Cancel future renewals through My account; cancellation must be confirmed by the payment provider. Cancellation does not by itself refund a payment already made, and each purchase is managed separately.

Plugin licence and delivery

A plugin licence covers one production website unless the product explicitly states another limit. After verified payment, the download and activation key appear in My account. Support and updates are included during the paid term. You may release an activation when moving websites. Sharing, reselling or abusing licence keys is not permitted. Expiry or revocation restricts paid downloads, updates and new activations as described in the product guide. WordPress, PHP, WooCommerce and other compatibility requirements are stated per product; dependable scheduled tasks require a working scheduler.

Website services

The selected package defines the included work. You must supply the agreed brief, content, approvals and secure access needed to perform it. We agree delivery milestones and service onboarding with you; payment alone does not mean work has already started or been completed. Additional pages, redesigns, features, third-party licences, domain charges or other out-of-scope work need a separate agreed quote. We do not automatically charge extra work.

WordPress repair warranty

Our R850 once-off WordPress repair includes the initial repair and three months of repair warranty and website maintenance on that repaired website. If a problem arises again during that coverage, we will fix it without an additional repair-service charge. Coverage begins when the initial repair is completed; dates appear in your account. It does not automatically enrol you in paid maintenance. New builds, redesigns, added features and third-party hosting or licence costs are separate. If access restrictions, missing files or unavailable backups prevent repair, we discuss options and a refund or other resolution before proceeding.

Refunds, delivery and shipping

Read our refund policy, delivery policy and shipping policy. We sell digital products and remotely delivered services; no physical parcel or courier shipping fee applies to those purchases. Refund and consumer rights provided by applicable South African law are not excluded by these terms.

Account and acceptable use

Use accurate contact details, protect your login and keep your email accessible for purchase and service notifications. Do not attempt unauthorised access, interfere with the site, distribute malicious files or misuse another customer’s licence. We may investigate abuse and restrict access where justified. Such restrictions do not remove any applicable statutory rights or refund obligations.

Problems and governing law

Contact info@heygeorge.co.za with your purchase reference so we can investigate billing, delivery or service problems. South African law applies, subject to any mandatory rights that apply to your transaction. These terms do not limit rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. Updated public terms do not silently change the amount or interval of an already authorised payment agreement.
