The booking journey

  1. Create your bookable entries and opening rules.
  2. Publish a booking form or product-card collection on your own website.
  3. The customer chooses dates, quantity and available linked items, then reviews the total.
  4. Ubuntu rechecks availability and creates the reservation. Paid bookings require a verified payment or an explicitly configured staff arrangement.
  5. Your staff see the reservation in their private front-end planner and record the start and finish.
Your accounts, your business: customer reservations and booking payments belong to your website. The Ubuntu Booking annual software licence is a separate purchase through the publisher account.

Choose your business setup

BusinessSuggested setup
AccommodationA separate room, or a pool of genuinely identical rooms. Per-night pricing and guest limits.
RestaurantsA table or identical-table pool. Seats, opening hours, preparation time and the staff day planner.
RentalsA separate item/variant or interchangeable pool. Dated stock, optional linked rental items and return inspections.
AppointmentsOne independently bookable service or practitioner. Working hours and preparation time.
Classes & activitiesCapacity-controlled places within opening windows. Fixed session series and recurring classes are not automated.

Owner-defined names, labels, colours and fonts adapt the workspace to your business. Labels do not change capacity or payment rules.

Your annual licence

The current price and renewal amount are displayed on the Ubuntu Booking product page. One licence covers one production website. The publisher account is separate from accounts used for other Hey George plugins.

After verified payment, enter your exact website address to generate its signed product key and download the ZIP. Follow licence activation instructions. Stopping renewal does not refund previous payments and retains the paid term.

What this release supports

This documentation covers Ubuntu Booking 0.9.0: built-in inventory, native PayFast and Stitch booking payments, optional WooCommerce checkout, linked rental items, the staff timeline and owner branding.

Google Calendar provides availability checks and event export; it is not an OTA channel manager or complete two-way calendar reconciliation. Monthly recurring rental agreements, automated table combinations, floor-plan editing, damage-deposit authorisations and recurring class series are outside this release.

Connection availability: shared one-click Google and Meta onboarding requires provider approval and publisher enablement. It is not currently open to the public. Advanced client-owned app setup is available; see the connection guide. Connecting credentials alone does not prove live delivery or payment.
